Escalation after a response
JD's Charter names the Customer Champions Team:
customerchampions@jdplc.com
Step 1: make the initial complaint
For an in-store query, JD's Charter says to speak to a manager. For other issues, or disagreement with a store decision, use the customer-service options above.
Keep your first message focused: identify the purchase or store visit, explain what went wrong, and say what you want JD Sports to do. A short timeline is easier to follow than a long exchange of messages.
- Include the order number or receipt details and the relevant dates.
- Describe the specific problem and any previous attempt to resolve it.
- State the outcome you are asking for, such as an explanation, replacement or refund, as appropriate to your situation.
- Keep a copy of the message and any reply. For a phone call, note the date, the adviser and what was agreed.
If you use the webform, save your full complaint separately and fit the essential details into the space available. Avoid sending card numbers, passwords or unrelated personal documents.
Step 2: escalate an unresolved complaint
If you are unhappy with JD's response, its Customer Charter says to request reconsideration and identifies the Customer Champions Team at customerchampions@jdplc.com.
To prepare that review request, refer to the first complaint and explain precisely what remains unresolved. Include the response you received, your order or receipt reference and the outcome you still seek. Keep the evidence relevant rather than forwarding an unexplained bundle of screenshots.
If you have not received a reply, follow up through the official contact route with your original message and ask for an update. Keep a record of each attempt.
Information to have ready
- Your name, contact details, order number or store receipt.
- A short timeline of the purchase, problem and contacts with JD Sports.
- Confirmation emails and payment or refund records relevant to the complaint.
- Tracking screenshots, photographs of an item or packaging, or return proof where relevant.
- The previous response, any complaint reference and a clear description of what remains unresolved.
For a parcel dispute, the missing-parcel evidence checklist can help you select useful records.
Help with common JD Sports problems
Use the contacts above to complain. If you need help understanding the underlying problem, choose the relevant guide before writing:
- Parcel, delivery or missing order: see the JD Sports parcel-not-delivered guide for tracking and missing-order steps, or late-delivery help for a delayed order.
- Refund issue: explain whether you are waiting for an agreed refund or disputing a refusal. For non-delivery, see parcel not delivered and refund help.
- Missing item: identify the item and what arrived instead; see missing item from a parcel.
- Return problem: keep the return reference and handover evidence. If the parcel has gone missing, see lost-return guidance.
- Damaged or faulty item: describe the damage or fault and keep relevant photographs. For damage during delivery, see damaged-parcel guidance.
