How to complain to Currys about an order or service

Quick answer: For an ordinary order or service complaint, Currys’ complaints page directs you to Chat Now or 0344 561 0000. Ask customer service to review an unresolved response. The same page has separate procedures for warranties, insurance and credit, which should not be applied automatically to a parcel complaint.

Choose the correct procedure

Use the ordinary customer-service route for order problems. Warranty, insurance and credit complaints have their own sections on the official page.

Step 1: make the initial complaint

Start by identifying the purchase and the service that failed: a delivery booking, an order update, a damaged consignment or the handling of a refund. Include the order reference so the adviser can distinguish the order from any separate service plan.

  • Give the booked delivery date and what happened, including any rearrangement.
  • For damage, describe the item and packaging and attach relevant photographs where the contact route allows.
  • For a refund, identify the amount and the decision or promise you are challenging.
  • Ask for a clear action and keep a note or copy of the response.

A complaint about an appliance delivery and a complaint about an extended warranty may need different handling. Label each point so it does not get lost in the wrong process.

Step 2: escalate an unresolved complaint

If the customer-service answer leaves an order complaint unresolved, ask for a review through chat or telephone, or put the history in writing to the general postal address. Include the last response and explain the specific evidence or question it did not address. This is practical follow-up advice; the general order section does not publish a named escalation team.

Currys’ complaints page describes Consumer Arbitration for certain extended warranty services and Financial Ombudsman routes for insurance or credit complaints. Those are product-specific procedures, not a general parcel escalation route. Check the matching official section if your complaint is about one of those products.

If you have not heard back, refer to the original contact date and ask customer service to confirm the status and next step. Do not assume an order complaint has the same deadline as a warranty or finance complaint.

Information and evidence to have ready

  • Currys order reference and the product or service concerned.
  • Delivery booking, rearrangement messages and any collection record.
  • Photos of delivery damage, including packaging and the item identifier where relevant.
  • Customer-service replies and notes of any promised refund or replacement.
  • If the complaint also concerns a service plan, its reference and the separate point you want considered.

Common Currys order, parcel and refund complaints

  • Missed or disputed delivery: put the booked date and follow-up response in your complaint; see Currys delivery-problem guidance for detailed next steps.
  • Damage on arrival: explain what was visible when the consignment arrived; damaged-parcel help covers useful evidence.
  • Refund after an order problem: identify whether Currys agreed to refund you or refused the request; see non-delivery refund guidance.
  • Warranty, insurance or credit issue: use the matching official complaints procedure. The paid parcel form below is for supported parcel issues.
