How to complain about a Yodel parcel through current support
Create a personalised complaint letter asking for the outcome that fits your case — such as an investigation, refund or compensation where appropriate.
ParcelClaim is independent and is not Yodel. You can use the official contact and claim routes directly for free.
Official Yodel complaint and contact options
Current Yodel/InPost support
The transition page explains the combined home, locker and shop network. It publishes 0330 335 0950 and links InPost’s contact form. These are published transition contacts, not details copied from an unrelated courier.
The original booking still matters
Tell support who sold the postage or arranged the return. Keep a legacy Yodel reference alongside any new InPost reference; the branding change does not show which claim terms apply.
Step 1: make the initial complaint
Describe the service complaint through the current support route and say that the shipment or label was originally Yodel. For a missing retail order, contact the retailer as well. For a broker or marketplace label, raise the parcel case with the provider that supplied it.
- Include the tracking number and whether the parcel was sent to a home, shop or locker.
- Give the original label provider and dates of earlier contacts.
- Ask support to identify the applicable booking process before requesting compensation.
Step 2: follow up or request review
Where InPost handles the complaint under its published policy, its stages are Customer Care Agent, relevant Team Leader and then Specialised Complaints Team if still unresolved. For a third-party booking, that provider’s process applies instead.
Ask the transition support team which procedure governs a legacy Yodel booking and retain that answer. No separate legacy Yodel escalation address or automatic ADR entitlement is asserted here. A practical follow-up should identify the missed evidence and the action you still need.
Complaint vs compensation claim
The transition help page links claims assistance, but the linked InPost customer claim form limits applications to digital labels bought through InPost’s website or app. Do not enter a marketplace or older Yodel shipment as though it were an InPost direct purchase.
For retailer-arranged deliveries, the retailer/sender should investigate the booking and its claim rights. If you bought Yodel postage through a third party, ask that provider for the correct claim route. A complaint about delivery handling does not itself establish your right to compensation.
Information and evidence to prepare
- Original Yodel tracking reference, plus any InPost reference provided.
- Booking receipt, label provider and shipment date.
- Delivery destination type and previous support case numbers.
- Item/value evidence and photos, retained for the claim route that actually applies.
Help with common Yodel parcel problems
For the underlying parcel issue, use the relevant guide. Keep the complaint focused on the service or decision you want reviewed.
- Disputed delivery: Yodel delivered-but-missing guidance.
- Lost shipment: Yodel lost-parcel help.
- Return not traced: Yodel return help.
Retailer arranged the delivery?
For a UK consumer purchase from a business where the seller arranged delivery, Citizens Advice guidance puts delivery responsibility with the seller. Asking the courier to investigate can help, but the seller is normally the party to pursue for the missing-order remedy.
If you independently appointed a carrier not offered by the seller, or the purchase was from a private seller, the position can differ. Identify the actual booking and purchase arrangements rather than treating every recipient as the courier’s contractual customer. For returns, check who supplied or paid for the return service.
Use retailer says contact the courier help or missing-order refund guidance for the purchase dispute. Our complaint directory lists retailer contacts.

Create My Complaint Letter — £2.99Tailored to your case • You send it yourself. The draft does not submit an official claim, extend a deadline or establish entitlement to compensation. For a retailer-arranged order, select the buyer route and enter the actual seller; do not use the sender route just because you received a parcel.
For complaints about staff conduct or other service matters outside the form’s parcel issues, use the free official contacts above.
