How to complain to Vinted about a purchase or support decision
Create a personalised complaint letter asking for the outcome that fits your case — such as a refund, replacement or compensation where appropriate.

An issue with a purchase
Vinted’s standard-member Refund Policy describes “I have an issue” in the seller conversation and support review when a refund dispute remains unresolved. The Help Centre offers help for a specific order.
Complaint about Vinted itself
Section 21 of Vinted’s UK terms links a dispute form for disagreements with Vinted. This concerns platform handling, distinct from a complaint against the purchase seller.
Pro-seller purchases
The Pro Refund Policy applies to sellers with the Pro label. Do not apply standard-member deadlines or assumptions to every Pro purchase.
Step 1: make the initial complaint
Check whether the seller is a standard member or a Pro seller and whether you purchased using Buy now. Vinted’s standard-member policy says purchases outside Buy now require refund contact with the seller directly.
For an eligible standard-member order, report the issue through the order conversation within the policy’s 2-calendar-day period. Do this before spending time drafting a longer complaint; a ParcelClaim letter does not suspend the order.
- Explain the specific purchase problem and upload relevant evidence through the official process.
- Keep the seller’s reply and Vinted’s instructions together.
- Avoid confirming that everything is OK while the issue is still unresolved.
Step 2: request review if unresolved
Vinted’s Refund Policy says support can review the available details if you requested a refund but cannot agree with the seller. For a complaint about the platform’s own handling, use the dispute form linked in its UK terms.
In your review request, identify the order, quote the decision you are challenging and explain what evidence was missed. Keep a seller disagreement separate from an allegation that support handled the case incorrectly. The linked sources do not promise a separate named appeal team or a guaranteed reversal.
Information and evidence to have ready
- Order/conversation reference and seller username, including Pro status where relevant.
- The notification that triggered the issue-reporting period and the date you reported it.
- Listing screenshots and relevant photos of the item, packaging or bundle contents.
- Seller replies, support decisions and any requested return or tracking evidence.
Vinted parcel, order and refund complaints
- Lost parcel: Vinted lost-parcel help explains the transaction issue; use this page for support and complaint routes.
- Delivered but not received: keep the notification and report record; see Vinted delivered-but-missing guidance.
- Bundle item missing or delivery damage: identify the affected listing and keep photographs. Missing-item guidance can help organise evidence, but Vinted’s policy determines its own case process.
- Return/refund disagreement: follow the instructions in the order and keep proof of handover rather than assuming every purchase follows a conventional retailer return route.
